April 2014 polling of US female internet users by Prudential Financial found more promising results for digital when it came to researching financial products or services. Though people—family and friends, financial professionals and a spouse or partner—all landed ahead of finance-related sites, around three in 10 respondents did say they used financial company sites to find information about products and services.
