Nearly all US bloggers promoted their blog posts on social media. On the other end of the spectrum, just 4.5% of respondents said they paid to promote posts.
Photos go hand in hand with social—and they’re key to making sure posts draw more eyeballs: For example, data released in June 2014 by TrackMaven showed that between May 2013 and May 2014, 88% of brand post shares on Facebook worldwide included an image, driving average post interaction of 2.35, compared with 1.71 for the 12% of posts without images.
