Social Media Referral Traffic Trends, September 2012-September 2013 [CHART]

By David Erickson | November 15, 2013

Chart - Social Media Referral Traffic Trends

Facebook remains easily the leading social referrer of traffic to publishers, per recent figures released by Shareaholic. The company is out with new data that reinforces not only how dominant Facebook is in this space, but also how quickly mobile is growing as a primary component of the platform. According to the latest figures, Facebook referred 2.77% of total traffic to Shareaholic’s publisher network from mobile users alone in September. That figure is larger than the total traffic referral share from Twitter, StumbleUpon, YouTube, Reddit, LinkedIn and Google+,  combined.

Only Pinterest referred more traffic (overall) than Facebook did via its mobile users. Read the rest at MarketingCharts.
