Parents & Their Smart Phones During Back-To-School Shopping [CHART]
According to a July 2012 study by consulting and advisory firm Deloitte, 65% of US parents who owned a smart phone planned to use the device to assist with back-to-school shopping this year. Although that’s only up from 64% a year ago, parents will rely more on smart phone functionality than they did in 2011. Deloitte found the most popular smart phone uses for back-to-school shopping included getting price information, downloading discounts, coupons and sale information, and viewing retailer ads.
