Types Of Information People Worry Hackers May Get, March 2015 [CHART]

Remember the Heartbleed security bug—also known as “the most dangerous security flaw on the web”? Nearly nine in 10 (86%) US internet users don’t, according to March 2015 research by Harris Interactive for Dashlane.

When asked which types of personal information they were most concerned about online hackers gaining access to, Dashlane respondents were most likely to worry about their social security numbers getting out. Unsurprisingly, personal banking info came in second, followed by credit card numbers. Respondents were generally less concerned about hackers getting their hands on details about their personal lives, such as children’s names and home addresses. Read the rest at eMarketer.
