Device Ownership Among American Kids, October 2014 [CHART]

The majority of US children and teens under 18 have access to some sort of digital device. And while these digital natives know their way around a range of devices, it doesn’t mean their parents aren’t keeping close watch.

Nearly half of children 6 to 17 are owners of a computer, mobile phone, tablet or an MP3 player with Wi-Fi capability, according to an October 2014 Family Online Safety Institute survey. Those who do not personally own a device likely still have access to the internet.
