Closed Accounts Due To Privacy Concerns By Country, November 2014 [CHART]

Some 22% of US consumers report having closed an account due to data-privacy concerns, according to an Aimia survey. Despite that, 6 in 10 are willing to share their information in exchange for offers and discounts (top-2 box score on a 10-point scale). Separately, when asked which institutions they’re comfortable with handling their personal data, 82% ranked banks in their top 4 (of 10 measured), with supermarkets (64%) and mobile phone providers (56%) next.
