eMarketer expects online and mobile banking audiences in the US to continue to rise. This year, 129.0 million adult internet users in the country will access their bank, credit union, credit card or brokerage account via any device at least monthly, meaning 63.5% of internet users and 52.7% of the population will bank digitally. Meanwhile, in 2014, the number of US adult smartphone banking users will come in at 86.8 million—58.7% of 18-and-older smartphone users and 35.5% of adults—while 47.1 million adult tablet users, or 39.7% of consumers who own such a device and nearly one-fifth of the population, will bank via tablet. Read the rest at eMarketer.
