Monetate’s Q4 e-commerce report has been released, and it shows that when it comes to mobile commerce, there continues to be one dominant player: the iPad. According to the study, the iPad’s commanding share of tablet traffic to e-commerce sites means that the device alone delivered more traffic than all smartphones combined. In fact, the iPad was solely responsible for more than 1 in 8 visits to an e-commerce site during the quarter.
Tablet traffic as a whole continues to grow as a percentage of e-commerce site visits, up to 14.58% share among the sample of clients measured for the latest report. That’s up almost exactly 5 points from 9.55% in Q4 2012. Read the rest at MarketingCharts.
