While overall Twitter user numbers continue to increase slowly, younger consumers are still flocking to the site. In February 2012, some groups saw a drop in user numbers, particularly those ages 25 to 34 and over 64. But the number of US internet users ages 18 to 24 who said they use Twitter rose dramatically, from 18% in May 2011 to 31% in February 2012.
